About the Centre

History of TheGap Little Athletics

Little Athletics started in Qld in 1973.  The Gap started in September 1977 (same time as Strathpine) To date, there are 7 centres still operating which are older than us.

The original site was with the current Gap Pastime Club at Glen Alffric Street, but due to the need for running tracks, long jumps, etc, the Club had to look for another venue. The Gap State High School Oval was the ideal place.

The Gap still holds Qld Best performances for the following:
